Architect (MA) & Sustainable Urban Designer
Sara is an architect and sustainable urban designer. In 2015 she first came into contact with permaculture as a regenerative regional planning tool while she was researching methods to tackle climate change with her students. Since then, her passion shifted from flows of materials from designing buildings and cities to designing forests, communities and urban regenerative systems.
Sara is currently collaborating with Kultur Labor Trial&Error and other transformative emerging institutions, such as Kiezconnect and Transformation Haus&Feld a.o., helping local communities design and share cargo bikes and reclaiming public spaces for direct democracy, creative placemaking and distributed gardening. She started giving soil care workshops in summer 2020. Within Open Soil Atlas, she is driving the R&D and workshop activities.
